A couple of weekends ago I got to shoot again with C’na Roberts in Houston. She said I knew the wedding coordinator, Joanne. Oh, Zainab! She is an old schoolmate of mine and it was good seeing her, C’na, and meeting this beautiful couple, Frederica and Mohamed. Here are a few shots from this awesome wedding. I’ll say one thing, I know where we (African-Americans) got it from. These folk know what family, celebration, and love is about. Mohamed and Frederica, I wish you many years of blessings!

Nicole a senior about get her Bachelor’s and Master’s in 5 years was looking to have some senior shots taken. This seems like a new trend… college senior portrait sessions. Hmmm… Maybe if I hadn’t been on the *cough*-year Bachelor’s plan, I might have had some senior shots done also.

Anyway, Nicole found me online and mentioned she wanted some shots near the business school and near some flowers. So we met at McCombs and took a few shots, walked to the tower to get a cap-n-gown, and then drove over to Austin Zilker Botanical Gardens.

The last time I was in Gruene, Texas it was with a team of coworkers. I don’t know where my eye was back then because this is a wonderful city to take photos. There is so much charm in this city and many unique photo ops.

I met Sarah and Erick at the Gristmill River Restaurant. He proposed to Sarah there so this was the perfect spot for an Engagement Shoot reunion. This is a beautiful couple and I hope you enjoy the photos!

Cierra | Hendrickson High School | Senior Photography

So, my girl Tina put me in touch with her sister, Crystal so that I could take some senior graduation photos of her daughter, Cierra. They came to the ’studio’ a couple of Saturdays ago and we started shooting. We had a great time. Crystal even hit it off real well with my wife, Angela. We have new friends… Yay!

Anyway, this is about Cierra. She’s expecting me to say some sarcastic comment in this blog post but I’ll refrain. All I’ll say is that she’s a beautiful, smart girl and I expect her to do well at Prairie View A&M.

Hayley and Jay | Villa St. Clair, Austin, Texas | Wedding Photography

I first met them last October or something like that. I hit it off with Jay and Hayley as soon afterwards. Jay is a fellow IT professional and University of Texas employee and Hayley is a long-time, die-hard, Clemson Longhorn fan! Hookem Horns! Both of their families are awesome. They are a great couple and I was proud to shoot their wedding. Too bad they moved almost immediately to Atlanta but I wish them well.

The ceremony and reception was at this beautiful spot here in Austin, Villa St. Clair. It’s a fabulous setup, the food is fantastic, and the people are awesome. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a wedding venue.

Jason and Natalie | Georgetown Heritage Society & San Gabriel House | Austin, Texas | Wedding Photography

So, when Jason left to Boston, he left me an array of servers, services, and jobs to take over. JABBER! He also left me with the job to photograph him and his beautiful new wife, Natalie, at their wedding.

The wedding was a classic wedding in a small chapel (Georgetown Heritage Society) in Georgetown, Texas. The classical music, stained glass mosaics, and intimate setting made for an awesome ceremony. This was the perfect place to shoot beautiful photos for a wedding.

We left there and headed a less than a mile west to The San Gabriel House Bed and Breakfast for the reception. The Texas weather made for a rough Spring but this was still a beautiful place. I think the wife and I will need to make reservations.

Oh, and to the cousin of the bride who had the “Something”-D and tried to convert me over to Canon… “Whatever!” Anyway, enjoy the photos!

Ross and Vanessa | The Rose Emporium, Brenham (Independence), Texas | Wedding Photography

Thanksgiving weekend: Dallas -> Bryan -> Independence ->Austin ->Waco (to pick up the boys) -> Austin. Facilitate Sunday School in the morning. But it was definitely worth it all! This was a great wedding.

I met Vanessa through a friend of mine. Soon afterwards we took some bridal shots on South Congress here in Austin, Texas with her friends, a stranger’s min pin, random classic cars, and a bunch of firemen. Needless to say Vanessa is a fun gal and her new hubby, Ross, is the perfect laid back match!

The wedding was in Independence, Texas at the Antique Rose Emporium. THIS IS THE SPOT for a wedding. The place is beautiful. The weather was perfect, the couple was beautiful, their families were awesome. A few came from out of the country to this Austin wedding. Best of all… my beautiful wife, Angela (new employee of BHurdle Photography) was there to assist. She even fired the D700!

Rather than a just feature a few of my favorites, I decided to photo blog a post that would show the entire day. Enjoy!

Vanessa’s Bridals | South Congress | Austin Wedding Bridal Photography

So, I spent Thanksgiving giving thanks in Ft. Worth, Duncanville, and then Richardson. The next morning Angela and I drove to Bryan, Texas. Saturday we started shooting Vanessa and Ross’ wedding in Bryan and ended up at the Rose Emporium in Independence, Texas. The wedding was beautiful, and you’ll get to see those photos soon. But for now, the bridal photography shot in Austin.

Vanessa wanted to do something fun. She got a hold of an old VW Bug she and her friends took it out on Congress. We all met up on South Congress and began our evening of bridal shooting.

We encountered two more interesting vehicles, a miniature pincher, and the firemen of South Congress. She finished the night and ended up in the pie trailer. It was all awesome! I hope you enjoy the bridal photos… I enjoyed taking them.

I was blessed to shoot as a second for Francis Joseph a couple of weekends ago in Austin. Well, the wedding was in Buda and the reception in San Marcos. They were both beautiful. Angie and David are a beautiful couple and I pray they have many wonderful years together.
